Effective 4/7/2025 the Village of Tannersville Planning Sessions will be conducted on the first Thursday of each month, and the Regular Board Meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month.

Our court is located at 5974 Main Street (1 Park Lane) in Tannersville. Parking is in the rear.

Court is generally in session the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 4:00pm. Please note that this is a part-time court. All messages and correspondence will be returned as soon as possible by the Court Clerk. 

No other village offices or personnel are able to assist you with court matters.

All traffic tickets may be answered in-person on the date listed on the ticket, or you may enter your plea by mail before that date.

  • If you appear in-person and plead GUILTY, the judge will assign a fine, which you may then pay by cash, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or VISA/MC Debit Card. (No Checks)
  • If you appear in-person and plead NOT GUILTY, you may have the opportunity to speak with the Assistant District Attorney, who may offer a plea deal based on your circumstances. If all parties are in agreement, the judge will assign a fine, which you may then pay by cash, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or VISA/MC Debit Card.  (No Checks) If the terms of the plea are not agreeable, a trial date will be scheduled.
  • If you plead GUILTY by mail, the judge will assign a fine. You will receive a fine notice by mail, which may be paid by Certified Check or Money Order. You may also pay by following the following link: tinyurl.com/TannersvilleCourt
  • If you plead NOT GUILTY by mail, you will be given a court date to appear for a pre-trial conference with the Assistant District Attorney, who may offer a plea deal based on your circumstances
  • If you are found by the court to be NOT GUILTY, or if your ticket is dismissed (such as a “fix-it ticket” if you have corrected the problem), there are no fines or fees that need to be paid.
