THE TOUR OF THE CATSKILLS CYCLING EVENT RETURNS SATURDAY
Tannersville, NY – The 18th Annual Tour of the Catskills returns this Saturday, August 9 in Greene & Ulster Counties. The event is a non-competitive ride in 2025 featuring routes of 27 and 52 miles, and a 74 mile route that includes the infamous Devil’s Kitchen climb – Platte Clove Road in West Saugerties and Hunter.
Rides start in the Village of Tannersville at 9 AM at the municipal lot on Tompkins Street.
The event has the support of the Village of Tannersville, Greene County Tourism, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Troopers, Town of Windham Police Department, Last Chance Antiques & Cheese Cafe, Odyssey Energy Solutions, Anthem Tours, and Windham Mountain Outfitters. 400 riders are expected.
Aid stations and event staff will be on the course to support participants throughout the event. The ride is non-competitive and all participants are expected to follow the rules of the road at all times throughout the event.
There are no road closures. Area motorists should exercise increased caution while driving on area roads. Course Map Regional Law Enforcement will be present to monitor traffic and usher cyclists through critical intersections on the course only.
