Village of Tannersville to Hold First Public Workshop for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative Tannersville, NY – The Village of Tannersville was selected by the Capital Region Regional Economic Development Council to receive a $10 million award from New York State through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). The DRI investment will allow Tannersville to develop a strategic investment plan and implement key catalytic projects that advance its vision for downtown revitalization. Projects selected for DRI funding will transform the downtown and support a vibrant local economy.
The approximately six‐month DRI planning process is guided by a Local Planning Committee (LPC) of representatives from local government, community organizations, local businesses, and residents. The LPC will meet regularly until the plan is completed in July 2022. The meetings are working sessions for the LPC, but they are open to the public. The next LPC meeting is planned for March 7, 2022. The first of three public workshops is scheduled for Monday, February 28, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually. Please visit www.tannersvilledri.com/get‐involved to register. A second public workshop will be held in April or May 2022, and a final public workshop will be held in June 2022.
In addition, an online visioning exercise will be open for public input from March 1 – 28. Please visit https://www.tannersvilledri.com/get‐involved for more information on opportunities for public input
and the DRI planning process.
